Miñicari
Miñicari: Culture & Responsible Experiences in Baja California Sur | Los Cabos
What is Miñicari?
It’s a curated, bilingual project that connects art and fine craftsmanship, local experiences, and cultural storytellers with people who want to get to know the region respectfully.
Miñicari comes from the Pericú word miñicari, meaning “sky.” Here, we use it as “starry sky”: the desert, the sea, and the clear nights of Baja California Sur.
Pericú is the name given to the Indigenous peoples who inhabited the southernmost region of Baja California Sur, especially the Los Cabos area. Their memory remains in the land and in historical records; today, we honor them with respect and care for this place.
Founding collaborators (open call)
We look for projects with real roots in Baja Sur (Mexicans or foreign residents), with quality, coherence, and care for the land. Miñicari is not an open directory—it’s a curated, selected project.
Three ways to participate
Art & Fine Craft
Handmade pieces with identity, creativity, and strong presentation.
Local experience
Surfing, diving, yoga, hiking, workshops, routes, ranches, community projects…
Storytellers
History, culture, ecology, routes, the land’s memory (e.g., rock art/cave paintings), and living culture.

Baja California Sur is desert, sea, and communities. Here we’ll keep adding routes, crafts, and local experiences, with respect for the land.
