Embracing Sustainable Techniques for Trendy Jewelry and eco-friendly bracelets
The Eco-friendly Bracelet Design Revolution
In today’s world, where conservation of natural resources and energy-saving initiatives are paramount, the air chasing technique has emerged as a trendy and eco-friendly approach in jewelry making.
While precious metals like sterling silver and gold were once the go-to choices for crafting exquisite jewels, the rising awareness about recycling and sustainability has shifted the focus towards repurposing materials like copper.
How to measure your wrist for this sustainable bracelet?
Read below
Wrap a soft, flexible measuring tape, or string around your wrist. Place the tape/string where you are most likely to wear the eco-friendly bracelet. Examples include right where your hand meets your wrist or an inch or two back from that point. Tape string should be comfortable & not too tight.
To ensure a proper fit, look for a cuff bracelet that is slightly larger than your wrist measurement. This allows room for any potential swelling that may occur in humid weather, for example.
Be sure to include the cuff bracelet’s gap in the total measurement. By following these instructions and considering your wrist size along with potential changes, you can select a cuff bracelet that will provide a comfortable fit throughout various conditions.
How did the Air Chased Copper bracelet get its shape?

The tube hammering technique consists of several stages to transform the tube into a piece with the desired pattern. First, flatten both ends of the tube and use two clamps at each corner to hold it together.
Once you secure the tube, you heat it to make it smooth. This is done using heating tools, such as a blowtorch. The heat helps make the metal in the tube more malleable and easier to work with.
Once the tube is hot and in a suitable state for forming, the hammering process begins. To achieve this, we use a small punch with a medium-sized tip. They gently hit the tube with the punch, following the chosen or previously designed pattern.
During the hammering process, it is important to consider the rigidity of the metal. The torch can overheat the metal if it becomes too stiff to work with. Reheating involves applying heat to the metal to soften it and make it more malleable once more.
As the pattern grows, you can add a texture to the metal. Instead of using a medium-sized awl, one uses a fine point awl to create this. With this tool, you hit the metal in a specific way to make it look how you want it to.
The process of hammering and reheating is repeated until the final result is reached. With patience and skill, they can transform the tube into a unique copper eco-friendly bracelet with a personalized design.
