How was this sacred heart pendant necklace made?
This sacred heart pendant combines two recycled metal plates: one copper for the base and another bronze with intricate handwork. After plating and bonding, they are polished and a copper and fire turquoise patina is applied. More textures are then added to the design and a small onyx gem is mounted in the center. To maintain the shine and patina, it is covered with a special resin for metal.
It comes with an aged brass chain of approximately 3 mm, with a lobster clasp and a plate with the seal of Ixchel, the brand name inspired by the moon princess of the Mayan culture.
What does this design that evokes an immaculate sacred heart mean?
The design evokes a sacred heart. It has the flames of divine love embedded in bronze that show that the heart of Jesus or ours burns with love and that it is in similarity with each one of us.
The onyx stone in the center acts as a protective gem, absorbing and blocking negative energies to transform them into positive ones.
